Trimingham Beach
Trimingham Beach – Is a very quite beach and is totally doggie friendly. Its about a 10 minute drive.
Address is: Vale Road, Mundesley, NR11 8DT
You can check the wave height and tides by using www.magicseaweed.com

Just down the road is Mundesley Beach which is also about a 10 minute drive this has pubs (The Ship Inn, Mundesley is always well recommended), cafes, amusements and crazy golf etc if you’re looking for something with a bit more to do.
Trunch Crown Pub (Road & Track)
Approx. 40 minutes one way. 1hr 20mins there and back.
- Follow the road for approximately ½ mile until you reach a junction. The road will carry on going around to the left or go right up a hill.
- Head into the wooded area opposite at the point where the roads meet (There is a small gap) then turn right.
- Head up the hill alongside the road until you get to a left turn opposite the wooden fence which marks an exit. Take the left turn.
- Follow the track down to a small pond with a bridge, cross over the bridge.
- After crossing the bridge follow the track until you reach an exit marked by another fence. Go through the exit and carry on going straight.
North Walsham & Dilham Canal Walk
Approx. 1 hour walk to reach the end or can go for miles further walking around Bacton Woods, Pigneys Wood or Paston Way. Warning - There is a short amount of road work, please be careful
- At the bottom of the yard turn left.
- Follow the road until the end where you get to the T-Junction.
- Turn right at the T-Junction and keep following the road. (Walk across the village green to reduce the road walk) WARNING ROAD WALKING
- Just before the humpback bridge, turn left into Tavern Tasty Meats.
- Head behind the building which is situated next to Tavern Tasty Meats and you will see a track going behind it following the canal. (You have now joined on to the Access Map underneath where it says ‘SWAFIELD’
Local Wood Walk From The Doorstep
I wood recommend the canal if you have time which leads into Bacton Woods but if you’re just looking for a quick walk from the doorstep then there is some woods with lots of tracks etc about a 10 minute walk away which is also nice.
- To get there if you leave the yard and turn right.
- Follow the road for approximately ½ mile until you reach a junction which is on a bend at the bottom of the hill. The road will carry on going around to the left or go right up a hill.
- Directly in front of you, where the roads meet is a wooded area (There is a small gap) This is the local woods. If you then turn right and follow until you reach a wood gate on your right hand side, then turn left at this point, you can then go over the little bridge (watch out there is a little pond and the dogs love the dirty water even if we don’t) and you have some nice little tracks you can follow. Or you can find your own tracks and explore.
